Weekly Recap

Things have been super busy around here. There isn't much time to do anything, which is why I've been so slow to update the 'ol blog. Here is a recap of our last week.
We had a visit from Brownie Bear. Brownie Bear would be Michael's preschool class' teddy bear. You were supposed to take pictures with Brownie Bear and write in a journal. Michael was excited to have Brownie Bear around for about a half hour. Enough for me to take pictures. Then that was it.
Here is Michael "reading" a story to Brownie Bear. Really he is just posing for the picture.

We couldn't leave out Bruno.
Last Saturday night, after such a beautiful day we hung out in the backyard. Matt and Michael attempted to play football, but really it was just Michael running around with the ball. No, we are not Steelers fans...it's the only football we have and someone gave it to us.

Madilyn really likes to be outside. With the weather being so crazy I send her out any chance I get.

Michael was very good to look at the camera as he was running by.

The other night I was coming upstairs and Bruno met me in the hallway. Many of you know that Bruno loves to root himself into blankets, sheets, towels, whatever, and sleep. I had just changed the sheets on my bed not long before this and the mattress cover was on the floor along with the dirty sheets. I noticed that Bruno had gotten himself stuck in the mattress cover. There is a slight hole in the corner of the mattress cover where it had torn from pulling to hard to place it over the mattress corner. Amazingly, Bruno was able to root himself into the sheets and mattress cover and come out with his head through the hole. I just laughed.....and of course took a picture.

You can see the whole mattress cover here.
Yesterday we went to the farm for our preschool field trip. Michael's class (and the other 3 preschool classes) were able to have some real chicken eggs in an incubator in their classroom. Some of the eggs hatched and the little chicks came out. The chicks are going to live at this farm, so the kids went to the farm to check it out. It wasn't much of a farm. Some chickens, turkeys, a goat, some sheep and a pony. Oh yeah, and some ducks and geese. Madilyn seemed to enjoy it though. She even got a little attached to Ms. Sameena (Michael's teacher) and walked with her. It was pretty cute.

At the end of the field trip the kids got to take home a small pumpkin. Annie and Graham were there with us (Graham is in one of the other preschool classes). It wasn't very easy to get both boys to smile. This is the result.

And then Michael really didn't want to look at the camera. Crazy kid.

So that's it for now. We have another crazy week ahead of us. Hopefully I'll survive and be able to update you again next week.
