We Made It

We have arrived in California. We loaded the moving truck last Saturday (March 5) and arrived in California on Monday (March 7). We had a TON of help from friends getting ready to move. I'm so thankful for all the help we received. I felt very loved by many.

We did however, have so much stuff that we had to rent a U-Hall trailer to fit it all. We maxed out the moving truck space and had a few left over items we had to move ourselves. Maybe it was the 20 boxes of craft stuff that I own. Hmmmm.

Here is Michael, Savannah and Madilyn on the U-Hall trailer. They were very good "helpers".

The drive was long, but went by quickly. Madilyn preferred to travel like this.

Ok, not really. She was just being silly.

Michael started his new school on Wednesday (March 9). He is in the same kindergarten class as his cousin Trent. He was very excited and seems to be having a good time after only two days. Trent was very excited to introduce his cousin Michael to all his friends.

Madilyn and Robin have been loving being together. Just look at this picture! How can you not think these two are just the cutest thing ever?!?!

We also celebrated Madilyn's 3rd birthday on Wednesday (March 9). Can't believe this girl is three years old already. She was so cute all day long saying "it's my birthday!" and raising her hands in the air. She loved opening all her presents.

She did need a little assistance in unwrapping a few items, so she went to her Great Grandpa for help. It was so sweet and he just ate it up.

She was very prepared to blow out her birthday candles. She would show me throughout the day how she was going to do it.

It was such a fun celebration.

The moving truck arrived yesterday with all our belongings. We don't have enough room in our new little apartment for all our stuff. Looks like we will be renting a storage unit for awhile.

The men of the family helped unload most everything out of the truck. It's now sitting throughout our new home just waiting for me. Do you think it will magically put itself away if I just ignore it?

So, let the fun begin. Oh wait.....it has already started!
